The painting is of a broodmare called Persian Union which was the first broodmare my father purchased back in 1960. One of her produce was a horse called Golden Horus, winner of the Gimcrack Stakes Group 2 for 2 year olds in York among other races. Golden Horus was later purchased by Wing Commander Tim Vigors to be the first stallion to stand at Coolmore. 77 x 118 cm approx.
